The Ondo State Government has announced the formation of a five-member committee to oversee the operations of Sunshine Stars, who now compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) following their relegation last season.
The newly constituted management team will be chaired by Divine Ogbonnaya, who assumes the role of General Manager. Other members of the committee include Segun Joseph, Awosakin Iloyomade, Iyabo Ajanaku, and Dapo Ajibade.
In addition to overseeing the affairs of the men’s team, the committee will also manage Sunshine Queens, the state’s women’s football team, as well as the Sunshine Stars U-19 squad.
Sunshine Queens are set to return to top-flight football in the upcoming 2025–26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season, bringing renewed hope to the state’s football ambitions.
