Yusuf Lawal, the professional footballer married to late Nollywood actor Ogogo’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, has dismissed reports that the couple recently welcomed a baby.
The claim circulated online after reports alleged that Kira gave birth to a baby boy two days after the death of her father.
Lawal addressed the reports on Wednesday night through a post on his Instagram Story, describing the claim as untrue.
The footballer said the family had been inundated with calls and messages from relatives and friends seeking confirmation of the report, prompting him to publicly set the record straight.
He appealed to members of the public to stop circulating information about his family that had not been verified.
The family is currently mourning Ogogo, who died on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The veteran actor was buried the following day.
Lawal, in his message, also acknowledged the difficult period for the family and asked the public to respect their privacy while they grieve.
