AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is on the verge of joining Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, according to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano revealed the development on Wednesday via a post on his X account, stating that both clubs are currently working to finalize the deal that will see the Dutch international move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
This move follows Reijnders’ agreement on personal terms with Manchester City, signaling his intention to make the switch.
“Understand Manchester City are closing in on Tijjani Reijnders deal with AC Milan,” Romano tweeted. “Here we go, soon, as clubs are now in process to complete the agreement and bring Reijnders to #MCFC before FIFA Club World Cup. All done on personal terms between Reijnders and Man City.”
The 26-year-old’s transfer comes at a crucial time for City, who ended last season without a trophy and are aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
