Lothar Matthaus, the captain of Germany that won the World Cup, thinks Hansi Flick has the same magic touch as Pep Guardiola to turn Barcelona into a championship-winning squad.
Recall that Hernandez Xavi was shown the door last week, and Flick is anticipated to be appointed the new Barcelona coach in the days to come.
“Hansi’s style suits Barcelona,” Matthaus told BILD.
“With (Pep) Guardiola, Barcelona were spectacular, and they played fantastic football.
“With Hansi, they can regain that magic.”
Xavi said farewell to Barcelona yesterday with a victory over Sevilla in their season finale.
