Nollywood actor and producer Kunle Afod has publicly addressed his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, months after reports of a crisis in their marriage surfaced on social media.
The actor spoke about the split during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar on YouTube, where he discussed some of the issues he said contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.
Afod, who initially pointed to the demands of his acting career, said his work sometimes left him with little time for his family.
“This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home,” he said.
The actor also spoke about jealousy and allegations of infidelity, suggesting that suspicion and perceived double standards could create problems between couples.
He questioned why some women might regard their use of sex toys as acceptable while reacting differently if their husbands engaged in similar behaviour.
Afod further made comments about same-sex relationships and the possibility of infidelity between female friends, arguing that spouses could become suspicious when their partners maintained particularly close friendships.
His remarks formed part of a broader discussion about trust, fidelity and expectations within marriage.
