Falz Opens Up on Struggles Balancing Love, Family, and Entertainment Career

Nigerian rapper and actor Falz has shared candid details about the challenges of maintaining a healthy love life and family while pursuing a demanding career in entertainment.
Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Falz admitted that one of his greatest struggles is finding someone who genuinely likes him for who he is, beyond the fame and success.
“I’ve not found anybody who likes me. In all sincerity, it’s incredibly tough to have a healthy love and family life while being in entertainment,” he said.
Falz explained that the pressures of his career often clash with personal commitments, leaving him cautious about entering into serious relationships.
“Not knowing how to navigate that, coupled with feeling like I don’t want to just scatter things up, has resulted in me staying away,” he confessed. “Some people say it’s running from commitment. To an extent, I wouldn’t lie, yes. But it’s better than deceiving yourself and hurting someone else.”
The rapper stressed that while he acknowledges being “too cautious,” he prefers honesty about his readiness for commitment rather than forcing himself into situations he cannot sustain.
Falz’s openness has sparked conversations online about the pressures entertainers face in balancing personal happiness with public careers, especially in Nigeria’s fast-paced music and film industries.
