Davido’s logistics manager, Isreal DMW, has denied claims linking the singer to controversies surrounding Naira Marley, the death of Mohbad and an alleged plan to have social media activist VeryDarkMan arrested.
Isreal addressed the allegations in a statement shared on his social media handle, insisting that Davido neither authorised nor directed anyone to join a WhatsApp group reportedly connected to the controversy.
He said those who participated in the group did so without the singer’s knowledge or approval.
“Those who were in that WhatsApp group got there without his instructions or approval,” he stated.
The logistics manager also dismissed claims that Davido sought to obtain Mohbad’s music catalogue, engage in a dispute with music producer Samklef or sign singer Zinoleesky, who was previously associated with Naira Marley’s Marlian Records.
He questioned the basis of the allegations, insisting that Davido had no involvement in the reported actions.
Isreal further disclosed that Davido faced pressure from some people to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram following the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death.
According to him, the singer refused, saying he preferred to allow the police to investigate rather than act on unverified claims.
He maintained that Davido and Naira Marley remained on friendly terms, noting that both artistes had previously collaborated on a successful song.
“Naira and Oga are cool. They even made a hit song,” he said.
Addressing reports of an incident at Naira Marley’s residence, Isreal said the disagreement involved Tolu, a former member of Davido’s 30BG crew, and an associate of Naira Marley.
He maintained that the encounter did not result in anyone being beaten or attacked.
“On the issue that happened in Naira’s house, it was our then Tolu 30BG who had issues with one of Naira’s boys. Nobody was beaten or attacked,” he added.
Isreal’s statement comes amid renewed public discussion of the allegations involving Davido, Naira Marley and VeryDarkMan, as he seeks to distance the singer from the claims.
