Superstar musician Davido speaks after losing all three Grammy Awards nominations at the 2024 edition of the event.
Davido’s chance of winning his first Grammy was dashed after losing his categories at the 66th annual Grammy Awards with “Timeless” for Best Global Music Album which he lost to Shakti from India, “Feel” for Best Global Music Performance which he lost to American director, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia, and “Unavailable” for Best African Music Performance which he lost to Tyla from South Africa.
The DMW Boss responded to his loss by congratulating Tyla, on social media and referring to her victory as a win for all of Africa.
“Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring! ️”, he wrote.
Since then, a deluge of well-wishers and fans have flocked Davido’s page, offering their condolences for the loss and promising to support him regardless of the Grammys.
