Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has shared his thoughts on new teammates Liam Delap and João Félix, offering praise for both following their arrival in the current summer transfer window.
Delap and Félix recently joined the Blues and were part of the squad that secured the FIFA Club World Cup title last month.
Despite their success in that competition, the duo was unable to find the net during Chelsea’s goalless draw against Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
In an interview with NBC Sports, Palmer highlighted Delap’s physical playing style and his strong on-pitch connection with Félix.
“We should be winning trophies. Felix is so good, man. I love playing with him,” Palmer said.
“Even in training we just have good chemistry and know where each other is going to be. It was amazing to see him come in.
“We knew he was a good player before but to see it in person was really good.”
Regarding Delap, Palmer added:
“I just think he is something different.
“He is different to Joao and other strikers I have played with. He is more old-school, he is aggressive, he will run in behind, he is just a handful for defenders and he is one of the best finishers I have seen as well.
“Hopefully those two together score some goals between them.”
