Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is grieving the loss of her father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka.
The actress disclosed his death on Friday, October 2, 2026, through an emotional post on her social media platforms.
Chioma said she struggled to find the words to capture her pain, describing her father as her daddy, papa’m, obara’m and comfort.
She also recalled losing her mother 13 years ago, saying her father’s death has now left her without either parent.
“My beloved father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, has gone to be with the Lord.
“I lost my mother 13 years ago and now that my father is gone, the thought that I have neither parent here anymore breaks my heart in a way I cannot fully explain. So na only me bayi?”
The actress expressed gratitude for her father’s long life and the opportunity he had to witness his children and grandchildren grow.
She also cherished the memories they created, particularly during the final years of his life.
“No matter how many years we are given with a parent, we still want one more conversation, one more embrace, one more day.”
Chioma said the family kept the death private as they came to terms with the loss and asked the public to remember her, her siblings and the wider Chukwuka family in their prayers.
She said details of the funeral would be announced when the family was ready. Her mother, Grace Egoyibo Chukwuka, died in May 2013.
