Carter Efe Loses Instagram, TikTok Accounts After Slamming Wizkid

Popular Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Carter Efe, has lost access to both his Instagram and TikTok accounts, just days after publicly criticizing Afrobeats superstar Wizkid during a live stream.
The incident unfolded earlier in the week during a TikTok live session, where Carter Efe took jabs at Wizkid, accusing him of arrogance and calling him an “idiot.”
“If Wizkid calls me ‘my G,’ that means lion don get belle. E no fit happen. That boy too get pride—idiot,” Carter Efe said, mocking the Grammy-winning artist.
The backlash was swift. Wizkid FC—the fiercely loyal fanbase of the singer—responded by threatening to mass-report Carter Efe’s social media platforms. Within hours, they seemingly made good on their threat.
On Wednesday evening, Carter Efe took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that his Instagram account with over 1.8 million followers had been taken down.
“FC una collect my Instagram account of 1.8 million followers,” he posted.
Shortly afterward, he returned with an emotional apology video, revealing that his TikTok account had also been removed.
“This is getting too much. TikTok account gone. FC una betrayed me,” he said, visibly distressed.
“Abeg make una forgive me, Wizkid FC. Wizkid, abeg no vex. Help me beg FC, abegggg. I’m in severe pain.”
As of the time of this report, Carter Efe’s Instagram and TikTok accounts remain inactive, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to recover them. Meanwhile, reactions on social media remain divided, with some calling out the toxicity of fan wars and others insisting that Carter brought the situation upon himself.
