Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has emerged as a potential target for Turkish Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor.
The Black Sea club is seeking to reinforce its attack ahead of the new campaign and has identified the Nigerian forward as one of its options.
Awoniyi endured a difficult spell at Nottingham Forest last season, with recurring injuries limiting him to 17 Premier League appearances, where he scored four goals and provided one assist.
The 29-year-old was left out of Forest’s Europa League squad and only returned to the Premier League squad after compatriot Ola Aina suffered a lengthy injury.
With Igor Jesus and Chris Wood currently ahead of him in the attacking pecking order, Awoniyi could consider leaving the City Ground.
The former Union Berlin striker has featured regularly during Forest’s pre-season campaign, but it remains uncertain whether he has done enough to convince new manager Oliver Glasner.
