Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has opened up about her first meeting with veteran actor Pete Edochie, describing the encounter as one that left a lasting impression on her.
Ovire shared her thoughts while reacting to a post by Edochie’s son, actor Yul Edochie.
Reflecting on the first time she met the veteran actor, Ovire said she immediately noticed a rare quality in his presence, describing it as both powerful and peaceful.
According to the actress, Edochie’s calmness was noticeable even before he said a word.
“Your dad carries so much grace. From the very first day I met him, I felt it. His aura was so calm and powerful; it was almost as though a gentle wind of peace had entered the room with him,” she wrote.
She added that there was something “warm, peaceful and comforting” about his presence, even in silence.
Edochie is regarded as one of Nollywood’s most respected veteran actors, with a career spanning decades and a reputation for commanding performances that have made him a familiar figure to generations of Nigerian movie lovers.
Ovire’s tribute adds to the growing recognition of the actor’s influence both on and off screen.
