Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer exit from Trabzonspor, insisting he remains committed to the Turkish club.
The 22-year-old has attracted reported interest from Premier League side Fulham, while Championship outfit West Ham United has also been mentioned as a potential destination following his impressive performances.
Despite the transfer rumours, Nwaiwu says his priority is to honour his contract and continue his development with Trabzonspor.
“I have an ongoing contract with Trabzonspor, so I need to go back and continue my path with my club,” the centre-back said in comments quoted by Footy-Africa during an interview with a Turkish television channel.
Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC in January and made an immediate impact, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 16 league appearances.
