Kamala Harris to Release Memoir on 2024 White House Bid, Stirs Speculation on Political Future

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will publish a new memoir this fall, offering an inside account of her short-lived 2024 presidential campaign against Donald Trump.

The book, titled “107 Days,” will be released on September 23 by Simon & Schuster, the publisher announced Thursday.

In a video posted on social media, Harris described the memoir as a candid reflection on what became the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.

“Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for president of the United States — 107 days traveling the country, fighting for our future,” Harris said. “Sometimes, the fight takes a while.”

Harris, the first woman to serve as U.S. vice president, became the Democratic Party’s nominee after President Joe Biden ended his re-election bid in July 2024 amid mounting concerns about his cognitive health. Her campaign, however, lasted only a little over three months before Trump secured victory.

The memoir promises to deliver a behind-the-scenes look at the whirlwind campaign, written, Harris said, with “candor and reflection.”
