Veteran Actor Harris Yulin Dies at 87 from Cardiac Arrest

Harris Yulin, the acclaimed American actor known for his powerful performances in films such as Scarface and Ghostbusters II, has passed away at the age of 87.

Yulin died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, his longtime manager, Sue Leibman, confirmed in a statement to The New York Post on Thursday.

“Harris was part of a pioneering generation that deeply valued the craft of acting,” Leibman said. “His lifelong dedication resulted in extraordinary, resonant performances that were a gift not only to the actors he worked with but to audiences and the art of acting itself.”

Details regarding a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

With a career spanning more than five decades, Yulin was widely respected both on screen and stage, remembered for bringing depth and gravitas to every role he took on.
