2027 Election: Uba Sani Dismisses Social Media Narrative Against Tinubu

As political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensify, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s re-election chances.

Speaking during a meeting with the Tinubu/Uba Sani media mobilisation team in Kaduna at the weekend, the governor said electoral outcomes are determined at polling units rather than on social media platforms.

Sani argued that while online conversations on platforms such as X, Facebook and Instagram may shape public perception, they do not reflect the actual voting strength of candidates during elections.

He added that President Tinubu would only lose the 2027 presidential election if voting were conducted on social media, insisting that real political power lies with voters at the grassroots.

The governor also defended the president’s performance in office, saying the Tinubu administration has provided strong support to state governments across the country.

“President Tinubu is supporting subnationals more than any person in this country”, he said.

As part of the visit, members of the media mobilisation team inspected ongoing federal projects, including the Abuja–Kaduna Expressway, expressing optimism that the road would be completed before the end of 2026.
