Monday Gift is confident that her recent move to NWFL club Washington Spirit will improve her chances of securing a regular spot with the Super Falcons. Gift made the switch to Washington Spirit from Spanish Liga F club UD Tenerife last month.
At 23, Gift has earned only 10 caps for Nigeria since her debut in 2019, and she was notably left out of the squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. However, the former FC Robo Queens striker believes that joining Washington Spirit, a club in a highly competitive league, will significantly enhance her development.
“This move will definitely impact my game with the Super Falcons. Playing in such a competitive environment helps you grow mentally and physically,” Gift told Sports Boom.
In her early days with Washington Spirit, Gift has already made an impact, scoring two goals in three league appearances.
