Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong, defender Bruno Onyemaechi, and goalkeeper Amas Obasogie are the first players to report to camp in Uyo ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The trio checked into the team’s Four Points by Sheraton hotel base on Monday morning, with Troost-Ekong and Obasogie arriving together before being joined by Onyemaechi.

Additional players are expected to join the squad later in the day. Head coach Eric Chelle has named a 23-man roster for the double-header.

The team is scheduled to hold its first training session on Tuesday at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
