Security forces have apprehended a suspected bandit during a night operation in Kuki, a community in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The arrest, confirmed in a video shared by counter-insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday, shows troops securing the suspect moments after a brief exchange of gunfire.
According to local reports, the incident unfolded late Friday when armed men entered the town. Troops quickly responded, engaging the intruders in a short but intense firefight.
One suspect was captured alive, while the rest of the group managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
The arrest is the latest in a series of operations aimed at curbing banditry in Katsina, a state that has been plagued by violent attacks in recent years.
