Tiwa Savage Clears Air on Alleged Wizkid Trolling
The Afrobeats star dismisses long-running claims of mocking Wizkid, insisting she has never disrespected her colleague.
The speculation resurfaced after a fan on social media pledged the loyalty of Wizkid’s supporters to Savage. Another user, however, countered by alleging that the singer had mocked the Starboy boss in the past and therefore did not deserve such support.
In a bid to clarify the claims, a user asked Grok, an AI chatbot on X, if Savage had ever trolled Wizkid. The bot responded that there was no evidence linking her to such actions.
Responding to the development, Savage wrote:
“Thank you o, have never done that. But they have just ran with this narrative and I have just kept quiet.”
The singer’s statement has now put to rest years of whispers about a supposed fallout between the two Afrobeats heavyweights.
Savage and Wizkid have shared a close professional relationship in the past, with their undeniable chemistry in the 2018 hit video Fever fueling widespread dating rumors. Both stars, however, publicly clarified that their bond has always been platonic.
