Nigerian music stars Tiwa Savage and Teni may be heading for a boxing ring after the latter publicly challenged her colleague to a fight.
Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, threw down the playful challenge in a video shared on Instagram, directly tagging Tiwa Savage.
“Mama!!! Make we fight @tiwasavage. 3 billion later, I go apologise for outside the boxing ring,” Teni wrote alongside the video.
Tiwa did not take long to respond.
The Somebody’s Son singer accepted the challenge with a short but confident reply: “Pick a date.”
The exchange has sparked reactions from fans, particularly coming shortly after another celebrity boxing bout involving Nigerian entertainers.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna recently defeated actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing contest, adding to the growing interest in entertainment personalities taking their rivalry and banter into the ring.
However, it remains unclear whether Teni and Tiwa’s exchange will result in an actual boxing event or is simply playful social media banter between the two singers.
For now, neither singer has announced a date, venue or official details for a potential bout.
