Agriculture Minister expresses confidence in ruling party’s nationwide victory, urges Nigerians to support Tinubu’s leadership
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has declared confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s chances of securing a sweeping victory in the 2027 general elections, with President Bola Tinubu poised to return for a second term.
Kyari congratulated Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, the APC National Chairman, the Director-General of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council and other party members following the successful flag-off of the presidential campaign in Kaduna State.
In a statement issued by Villa Infostratic, the minister expressed optimism that the ruling party would emerge victorious at the polls, winning elective positions across the country, from the presidency to grassroots offices.
Kyari, who served as the APC’s Acting National Chairman during the 2023 general elections, said the party was well-positioned to consolidate its political strength and secure a resounding mandate in 2027.
He also called on Nigerians to maintain confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, arguing that the President was committed to uniting the country and delivering sustained economic prosperity.
The minister’s declaration comes as the APC steps up its political mobilisation and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 elections, seeking to strengthen its nationwide support base and build momentum for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
With the ruling party projecting confidence in its electoral prospects, the coming months are expected to test its ability to translate campaign enthusiasm into broad-based voter support.
