The Kano State Government has warned civil servants against breaching established service regulations, stressing that indiscipline and unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated in the public service.
The Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, issued the warning in a statement on Monday by the Office of the Head of Service, signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Rukayya Uba Sulaiman.
Maimota said all civil servants must perform their duties in line with established procedures and ethical standards, noting that the rules apply to every worker regardless of rank or position.
She explained that strict compliance with service regulations is essential to promoting accountability, discipline and effective service delivery across government institutions.
The Head of Service also urged permanent secretaries, directors and other departmental heads to strengthen supervision and ensure that staff members maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism.
She added that adherence to service rules would improve efficiency, strengthen public confidence and support the state government’s efforts to provide better services. She therefore urged workers to familiarise themselves with the relevant regulations and demonstrate integrity and responsibility in the discharge of their duties.
