President Bola Tinubu is expected to gain significant ground in Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 presidential election, according to Governor Uba Sani.
Sani says the political landscape has changed since the 2023 election and projects that Tinubu could secure between 70 and 80 percent of votes in the state.
He also dismissed claims of growing opposition to the President in the North, saying voters will judge the administration by its performance and impact on their lives.
The governor pointed to federal government projects in Kaduna, including a Federal University of Science and Technology in southern Kaduna and a federal medical centre, as developments that could strengthen support for Tinubu.
Sani also cited the movement of politicians from opposition parties into the APC, particularly in southern Kaduna, as another factor that could influence the state’s voting pattern in 2027.
He stressed that political campaigns must go beyond television appearances and social media, urging politicians to engage directly with voters at the grassroots.
According to the governor, the APC’s ability to communicate its achievements and maintain a strong presence across Kaduna and the wider North will be crucial to its performance in the 2027 election.
