Super Eagles Squad Confirmed: Coach Eric Chelle Finalizes 28-Man Roster for AFCON 2025

Super Eagles Head Coach Eric Chelle has officially announced his definitive squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament. Chelle successfully reduced his preliminary 50-man list to a final selection of 28 players.

The most notable absence from the final roster is former captain William Troost-Ekong, who recently declared his retirement from international football last week.

However, both vice-captains, Wilfred Ndidi and star striker Victor Osimhen, have secured their spots in the final selection. The deadline for the submission of all final national squads for the tournament was December 10.
