Russia Goalkeeper Agkatsev Hails Super Eagles as One of World’s Strongest Ahead of Moscow Friendly

Russia’s goalkeeper, Stanislav Agkatsev, has described Nigeria’s Super Eagles as one of the strongest teams in world football ahead of their international friendly on Friday.
Valery Karpin’s Russian side will host the three-time African champions at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Nigerian time.
The Super Eagles enter the match on a high after winning the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London. Eric Chelle’s team remains unbeaten in their last four matches, further boosting confidence ahead of the high-profile encounter.
Speaking to Russian news outlet TASS, Agkatsev acknowledged the strength of their opponents, emphasizing the importance of facing top-tier competition.
“Nigeria has a very good level. Probably one of the strongest teams in recent times,” he said. “I am sure that a very interesting game awaits us. Of course, I would like to play with any strong team—there are many strong ones.”
The fixture promises to be a compelling test for both teams, with Agkatsev and his teammates looking to measure their progress against the formidable Super Eagles.
