Manchester City midfielder Rodri is expected in Barcelona for a medical after the Premier League club reached an agreement with the Spanish giants over his transfer.
The Spain captain missed City’s 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal on Sunday as he prepares to complete the move.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on X, saying Rodri had been cleared to travel to Barcelona on Monday for his medical.
Romano wrote: “Rodri has authorization to fly to Barcelona today, Monday ahead of move being completed.
“Medical booked by Barcelona and Rodri will sign a four year deal until June 2030 this week.
“Fee worth €60m fixed, €6m easy add-ons and €10m difficult add-ons.”
