Reality TV star Phyna and actress Nkechi Blessing are set to take their public disagreement from social media into the boxing ring.
The pair will face each other in a celebrity boxing bout on October 1, 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
Balmoral Group Promotions announced the matchup on Friday through its Instagram page, unveiling a promotional poster featuring the two entertainers in boxing gear.
The organisers billed the contest as “Phyna vs Nkechi” and teased the matchup with the message, “Plot twist? Let’s see what the women can do.”
They added that the rivalry would now be settled when the two women meet in the ring.
The announcement came just hours after Phyna and Nkechi Blessing exchanged heated remarks on social media. The dispute followed comments by the actress about Phyna’s involvement in online confrontations.
Nkechi Blessing had questioned Phyna’s approach to online disputes, while Phyna responded by asking why the actress had addressed her publicly. Phyna also disclosed that they had previously been in contact over a movie project, but their communication ended following a disagreement over the timing of her response.
The October 1 bout is part of Balmoral’s “Chaos in the Ring” series, which has previously featured entertainers including Portable, Charles Okocha, Speed Darlington and Carter Efe.
The event is scheduled to be broadcast live on DAZN and SuperSport, according to the organisers. Details of the rules, number of rounds and other arrangements for the Phyna-Nkechi contest have not been announced.
