Omah Lay Reveals What Could Help Heal His Depression

Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has once again opened up about his ongoing battle with depression—this time with a candid post on social media about what could temporarily ease his pain.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, the Soso hitmaker stated that a large sum of money could significantly improve his mental state.
“10M in pounds or dollars right now will heal me for at least a month,” he wrote, sparking reactions from fans and followers.
Omah Lay has been vocal about his mental health struggles in recent years, previously revealing that he once reached a point where he nearly took his own life. In 2022, the singer shocked many when he disclosed that his depression deepened after he had a sexual relationship with his therapist.
His upcoming sophomore album, Clarity of Mind, is expected to delve deeper into his emotional journey and healing process. It follows his acclaimed debut album Boy Alone, released on July 15, 2022, in which he bared his soul through vulnerable, introspective tracks that touched on his struggles with loneliness, fame, and mental health.
Omah Lay’s honesty continues to resonate with many, as conversations about mental wellness in the entertainment industry become increasingly urgent and necessary.
