NPFL Queries Warri Wolves Over Coach Suspension

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has issued a query to Warri Wolves following the suspension of head coach Napoleon Aluma.

The league body said the Seasiders failed to follow proper procedures in contracting their coach, citing breaches of its 2025/26 Framework and Rules.

Warri Wolves had been instructed to submit contracts for all members of their technical and management staff but were found to be non-compliant.

In a statement, the NPFL warned that the club risked playing future fixtures without technical officials on the bench if it failed to meet the directive.

Aluma was suspended on Monday after a disappointing start to the new season. The club has reportedly opened talks with former Plateau United and Akwa United coach Kennedy Boboye as a possible replacement.
