
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has officially announced the commencement of a scheduled maintenance shutdown at the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC), aimed at sustaining and optimizing the refinery’s operations.
Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, Olufemi O. Soneye, stated that the maintenance and comprehensive sustainability assessment began today, reflecting the company’s proactive approach to ensuring peak performance and long-term reliability of this critical asset.
NNPC Ltd emphasized its collaborative efforts with key industry stakeholders, notably the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to guarantee the maintenance process is conducted with utmost efficiency, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
