Nnadozie Clinches Third Straight CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Chiamaka Nnadozie has been crowned the Women’s Best Goalkeeper at the 2025 CAF Awards, securing the honour for the third year in a row and cementing her status as one of global football’s elite shot-stoppers.

The Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper previously claimed the inaugural editions of the award in 2023 and 2024, marking a dominant run on the African and international stage.

Now 24, Nnadozie enjoyed a stellar year for both club and country. She delivered a standout performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she played a key role in the Super Falcons’ triumphant campaign as they lifted a record-extending 10th continental title.

Her impressive form extended to club football as well. Before joining Brighton, she helped Paris FC clinch the Coupe de Féminine in May and earned a historic nomination for the 2025 Yachine Trophy — becoming the first African player to ever be shortlisted for the prestigious global award.
