Nigeria to Host 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ogun State

Nigeria is set to host the WAFU B U-17 Championship in September 2025, as confirmed by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, during a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.
The tournament will be staged at two venues in Ogun State — the newly renovated MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta and the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne — both of which are equipped to host international matches.
Participating nations will include Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Togo, Benin, and Ghana, alongside hosts Nigeria.
The regional competition will also serve as a qualifier for the 2025 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, making it a critical event in the youth football calendar.
