Mutfwang Reshuffles Plateau Security Team, Reinforces Safe School Programme

Plateau State is strengthening its security architecture with the appointment of new heads for key security agencies and programmes.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang approved the appointments as part of efforts to improve the protection of lives, property and schools across the state.

According to a statement by Secretary to the State Government Samuel Jatau, retired Brigadier-General Nash Yakubu has been appointed Coordinator of Operation Rainbow, while retired Brigadier-General Gakji Goshwe will head the Safe School Programme.

Retired Major-General Bala Isandu has also been named Special Adviser to the Governor on Security.

The state government said the appointments are aimed at reinforcing security operations and safeguarding communities and educational institutions across Plateau State.
