Manchester United are reportedly exploring moves for Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez and Atletico Madrid’s Pablo Barrios as they seek to strengthen their midfield.
The Red Devils invested £155 million in Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba during the summer transfer window.
However, the club are still interested in adding more quality to their midfield options.
Speaking on Marca’s La Pizarra de Quintana show, transfer expert Matteo Moretto revealed that United had made enquiries about both players.
“There’s a Premier League club, Manchester United, that has a lot of things to sort out and is looking for a midfielder with the characteristics of Barrios and Fermin.
“They’ve inquired about both of them, there’s no negotiation, just an enquiry.”
It remains unclear whether United will pursue deals for Lopez and Barrios when the January transfer window opens.
