Manchester United have identified Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey as a potential target as they prepare to overhaul their squad after a disappointing start to the campaign.
According to TEAMtalk, the Premier League side are reviewing their defensive options ahead of a major rebuilding exercise in 2027.
Bassey has impressed with his performances for Fulham this season, establishing himself as one of the club’s most reliable players.
His contributions have also earned him the captain’s armband, which he received at the beginning of the campaign.
The Super Eagles defender is equally attracting interest from Italian champions Inter Milan.
His current Fulham contract expires next summer, although the club can activate an option to extend it for another year.
With Manchester United and Inter monitoring his situation, Fulham are expected to prioritise negotiations over a new deal for the 26-year-old.
