Man United Eye Garnacho, Sancho Sales — Mainoo to Stay, Says Ex-Scout

Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown has revealed that the club is looking to offload several players during the current summer transfer window.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown emphasized that promising midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is no longer among those being considered for departure, following a change in the club’s decision.

“There are a number of players Manchester United want to get rid of,” Brown said. “From what I understand, Kobbie Mainoo isn’t one of them after a change of mind.”

According to him, the club is seeking to raise funds by parting ways with players such as Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, and others who have been excluded from pre-season training.

“The likes of [Alejandro] Garnacho, [Jadon] Sancho, and the others who have been left out of training in pre-season—that’s who the club are looking to raise money from,” he added.

Brown also criticized the initial idea of potentially selling Mainoo, calling it “a crazy idea” that should never have been considered.
