Lamine Yamal Tops Ballon d’Or Power Rankings Despite Missing Club World Cup

The updated Ballon d’Or power rankings have been released in the aftermath of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with TNT Sports publishing their latest top 10 list of contenders.
Surprisingly leading the pack is Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who tops the rankings despite not participating in the tournament—LaLiga was represented instead by Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha claims the second spot following an impressive showing, while the top five is rounded out by Chelsea’s Cole Palmer—who netted a hat-trick in the final—alongside PSG duo Ousmane Dembélé and Raphinha.
