The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, following the integration of its e-Facility platform with examination bodies.
This development is contained in a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, Ag. Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB in Abuja.
The initiative, according to the Statement, which begins with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), enables the Board to verify candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results directly with the issuing examination bodies.
JAMB said the development was part of its renewed commitment to making its services easier, faster, safer and more accessible to candidates, particularly by reducing unnecessary visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can verify their O’Level results online and subsequently upload the verified results to their JAMB profiles without having to visit a CBT centre.
The Board said the system would also address challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up certificates, submission of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results can be checked against the official records of the issuing examination body before being downloaded into their profiles.
How Candidates Can Upload Their O’Level Results
The process involves two stages: verification of the results and subsequent upload to the candidate’s JAMB profile.
At the first stage, candidates are required to visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number (NIN) and click on “Verify NIN.”
They are then expected to select the number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies before providing their email address and GSM number and proceeding with payment through the available payment gateway.
After successful payment, candidates will enter their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
At the second stage, candidates are required to send “VERIFY {Verification Code}” to 55019 or 66019.
Upon successful processing, the result will be uploaded and the candidate will receive a notification.
Candidates with two sittings will subsequently be directed to their e-Facility profiles, where they are to click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
They will then enter their Verification Code, after which their two verified results will be displayed.
Candidates must select at least five and a maximum of nine required subjects from the displayed results, with no subject selected more than once, before clicking “Apply the O’Level Results.”
A notification will be sent to candidates upon successful completion of the upload.
JAMB said the verification service would provide a convenient alternative for candidates, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
The Board said the initiative reflected the commitment of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to building a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.
It added that it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to simplify its services and make them safer and more accessible to candidates.
