Montpellier striker Ifeoma Onumonu is considered doubtful for the Super Falcons’ crucial quarter-final clash against Zambia’s Copper Queens.
Reports indicate that Onumonu missed Wednesday’s training session due to an injury, leaving her availability for the upcoming match uncertain.
The 31-year-old has so far made a single appearance for Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Onumonu played 54 minutes in the Super Falcons’ goalless draw against Algeria on Sunday.
Nigeria will face Zambia on Friday at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.
This match marks only the second time the two nations will meet at the WAFCON tournament.
