“I Was Sold Into Prostitution in Mali” — Actress Jumoke George’s Daughter Opens Up After Rescue

Adeola Omotoso, the 41-year-old daughter of Nollywood veteran Jumoke George, has revealed the harrowing details of how she was trafficked and sold into prostitution in Mali.
This shocking revelation comes just days after Adeola was rescued with the help of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), following four years of being declared missing by her mother.
In a candid interview on Talk To B podcast hosted by actress Biola Bayo, Adeola recounted how she was lured with false promises of a better life abroad.
“I met someone who suggested I travel to Mali for better opportunities. She lied to me about getting a job at a pharmacy over there,” Adeola said.
Without informing anyone, she embarked on the journey by road, passing through Cotonou, Togo, Ghana, and other countries over four grueling days. Upon arrival in Bamako, Mali, the reality hit hard.
“I contacted the woman I was told to call once I got there. When I got to her house, she told me that she had bought me from my sister for N250,000. She said I would have to pay her 1.5 million CFA through prostitution,” she revealed.
Adeola said she was forced into a brothel but eventually managed to escape after securing a job with a food vendor.
Her courageous account has stirred public outrage and renewed calls for stronger action against human trafficking.
