Gift Orban Targets Fresh Start After Completing Hellas Verona Loan Switch

Gift Orban has expressed enthusiasm about his new chapter with Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona, following the official confirmation of his loan move from German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim on Wednesday.

The deal includes a €1 million loan fee, with Hellas Verona retaining an option to make the transfer permanent for an additional €8 million at the end of the season.

Orban joins the Italian outfit in search of a fresh beginning after a brief six-month stint at Hoffenheim, where he arrived from French club Olympique Lyon in January. During his time with the German side, the Nigerian striker recorded four goals across 16 appearances.

The 22-year-old is determined to make a strong impression and contribute significantly to his new team.

“I’m proud to begin this new adventure with such a wonderful club. Thank you for this opportunity—I will give everything on the pitch for these colours. I can’t wait to get started,” the striker wrote on X.
