Flying Eagles Name Final 24-Man Squad for 2025 U-20 AFCON

Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu has announced his final 24-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, with a number of familiar faces making the cut.

Team captain Daniel Bameyi, midfield dynamo Sulaiman Alabi Jojo, and forward duo Kparobo Arierhi and Clinton Jephta are among the key players retained by Zubairu as the team gears up for the continental tournament.

The squad will depart for Cairo on Sunday to begin the final phase of preparations. Nigeria has been drawn into Group B alongside Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco.

The Flying Eagles will open their campaign against Tunisia on Thursday, May 1, in Cairo, followed by a clash against Morocco on Sunday, May 4. Their final group stage match is set for Wednesday, May 7, against Kenya.
