Flying Eagles Arrive Côte d’Ivoire for WAFU B Title Defence

Defending champions Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, ahead of their WAFU B U-20 Championship title defence.

The team, made up of players and officials, proceeded to Yamoussoukro, the tournament host city, after landing in Abidjan.

Justine Madugu’s side will compete in Group B alongside Ghana, Togo, and Burkina Faso.

Nigeria will begin their campaign against Ghana’s Black Satellites on Monday, July 27, at the Lycée Scientifique de Yamoussoukro, before taking on Togo three days later and concluding the group stage against Burkina Faso on August 2.

The competition will also determine qualification for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
