Uzochukwu Ezeobi has penned a two-year contract extension with newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit, Barau FC.
The fresh agreement will see the central defender remain with the Kano-based club through to the conclusion of the 2027/28 season.
Ezeobi played a pivotal role in Barau FC’s promotion to the NPFL, featuring prominently during the recently concluded Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs.
The centre-back joined Barau FC in 2024 and has since established himself as a key figure in the squad.
Before his move to Barau, Ezeobi had stints with Shekarau Babes and Zamfara United.
With top-flight football on the horizon, Barau FC are expected to bolster their squad with key signings ahead of the 2025/26 NPFL campaign.
