Doma United have apologised to their supporters following their 4-1 defeat to Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Premier Football League fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The Savannah Tigers issued the apology in a statement signed by Sporting Director Makinde Akin Maxwell on Tuesday, admitting that the performance fell below expectations.
The result ended Doma United’s three-match unbeaten start to the season, with the club promising to respond when they host Plateau United in their next outing.
The statement reads, “On behalf of the Management, Technical Crew & the entire staff of Doma United FC, I will like to sincerely apologise to our fans especially those that made it to Kano, for our Week 4 defeat against Pillars,”
“We acknowledge the result did not meet the standard our supporters deserve, and we take full responsibility.
“We promise to bounce back stronger when we host Plateau United.”
