Davido’s ‘Ojuelegba’ Moment at Zlatan’s Wedding Rekindles Calls for Peace With Wizkid

A viral video of Afrobeats star Davido singing and dancing to Wizkid’s hit song Ojuelegba at rapper Zlatan Ibile’s wedding has reignited calls for reconciliation between the two musicians.

The clip, which circulated on social media over the weekend, showed Davido enjoying the song during the traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos, prompting fans to appeal to both singers to put their longstanding differences aside.

Reactions to the video spread across X, where users expressed hope that the moment could encourage a thaw in the relationship between the two music stars.

Davido and Wizkid have been at the centre of a long-running rivalry fuelled by comparisons over their music, online exchanges and tensions between their respective fan communities, known as 30 Billion Gang (30BG) and Wizkid FC.

While some fans welcomed Davido’s display of appreciation for Wizkid’s music, others questioned whether the perceived feud between the singers was as serious as it appeared online.

Fans call for an end to the rivalry

Several users on X urged the musicians to settle their differences, arguing that a better relationship between them could create opportunities for more music together.

One user, @Beejay_0822, wrote: “Make dem settle this beef abeg make dem give us better Gbedu abeg.”

Another user, @MustyFelix7, also expressed support for reconciliation, writing, “I wish they settle their beef.”

Meanwhile, @Amadi96123697 suggested that fan behaviour might be contributing to the tension surrounding the two artists.

“This men no really get issues na una wey be fans dey stress una selves,” the user wrote.

Others questioned whether the rivalry was genuine or had been amplified by social media. @13Kobrex wrote: “My mind dey tell me say their beef na script aswr.”

Supporters hope for musical collaboration

Some fans said they would welcome a more cordial relationship between the singers, pointing to the possibility of future musical collaborations.

“I really hope they resolve their issues and settle. The mutual admiration they had for each other was beautiful,” @idarajune wrote.

Another user, @ShegunChelsea, urged both musicians to reconnect while they remained active in the industry, saying fans would appreciate the opportunity to enjoy their music together.

A supporter identified as @HuseinWiz added that fan loyalty should not translate into hostility towards Davido.

“Be FC but I think there shouldn’t be hate on him anymore,” the user wrote.

Although the viral clip has generated fresh calls for peace, neither the video nor the reactions establish that the two singers have resolved their differences.

For now, the moment has renewed discussion about the rivalry and whether fans might eventually see the artists move beyond their public tensions.
