Davido’s latest album, 5IVE, has won Album of the Year at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA.
The Nigerian superstar emerged ahead of major contenders including Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness, Asake’s M$NEY, Omah Lay’s Clarity of Mind and Black Sherif’s Top of The Morning Era.
The category also featured international acts such as Tyla’s A-Pop, Lloyiso’s Never Thought I Could, Leigh-Anne’s My Ego Told Me To and Himra’s SORRY I’M BAD.
The wide-ranging nominations reflected the expanding international reach of African music, bringing together artistes from across the continent and the diaspora.
