Davido Mocks MC Oluomo Over Osun NURTW Dispute, Questions His Political Influence

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken a swipe at the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, following a dispute over transport union activities in Osun State.
The singer’s comments came after Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is also Davido’s uncle, announced a ban on NURTW operations across the state ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The governor said the decision was aimed at restoring order in motor parks and ending the collection of unauthorised levies.
However, MC Oluomo rejected the directive, arguing that the governor does not have the authority to control the activities of the national union.
Reacting to the development, Davido criticised MC Oluomo in a post shared on X, mocking his public comments.
The post generated mixed reactions from social media users, with some debating the tone of the singer’s remarks.
In a later post on his Instagram Story, Davido questioned MC Oluomo over allegations surrounding political activities in Osun State.
Tagging the transport union leader, Davido wrote: “@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game. I doubt lol look ur mirror.”
The singer has openly supported Governor Adeleke’s political activities and was appointed youth campaign leader for the governor’s re-election bid in April.
The ongoing disagreement between the Osun State Government and the NURTW leadership has continued to attract political and public attention ahead of the governorship election.
